JOB TITLE: BIM Technician

REPORTS TO: BIM Lead/Manager

COMPANY PROFILE:

Our primary services to these markets are delivering BIM survey models (Scan to BIM), CAD drawings (both building and topographical) and area referencing with a focus on high quality, state-of-the-art deliverables. Primary Purpose :

- To work within a high performing team that strives for excellence in all of its fields of practice, in this case using Revit and associated software to author and deliver BIM survey models authored from point cloud and photos. You will be working closely with other team members to deliver high quality Revit models in tight timescales. Support your colleagues through sharing knowledge and be willing to help one-another to achieve common goals.

Key Responsibilities :

- Author sufficiently accurate and functional models within Revit from point cloud data, photos and other information if available, in line with the project specification, and to PCL standard.

- Work collaboratively with the fellow technicians, ensuring that the most appropriate modelling workflow, techniques, and software are utilised across the Project team.

- Be fully committed to delivering high quality outputs in accordance with the company standards and QA protocols.

- Validate and verify graphical and non-graphical model data ensuring consistency across the project deliverables.

- Take responsibility for managing project data and information, following company protocols.

- Pro-actively communicate with the project team:

- Provide reports on project progress

- Attend meetings, including project handovers

- Openly communicate issues / errors

- Seek clarification when unsure

- Be an active listener

- Work flexibly, be able to re-prioritise as required by project requirements

- Ability to manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines

- Engage with UK based colleagues on projects and in other forums to support relationship building and team cohesion

- Work with the PCL team to ensure we deliver a great service by guaranteeing we meet or beat client expectations - in aspects such as quality, timeliness and health & safety.

- Support the continuous improvement of Scan to BIM process and deliverables ensuring they remain at the forefront of the industry, setting the definition of - industry best practice- .

- Share knowledge and contribute ideas.

- Undertake all other reasonable tasks as requested.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA AND EXPERIENCE:

- Minimum 2 years- of experience in scan/point cloud data to Revit - Arch, Structures and MEP (UK project experience will be added advantage)

- Architectural / Engineering/Surveying related degree or qualification

- Knowledge of BIM standards

- Familiarity with AutoCAD

- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.

- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across the Project Team - clients, colleagues and suppliers

- Team player, Loyal, Self-motivated and pro-active

- Attention to detail and desire to deliver high-quality outputs

- Experience working internationally desirable
