Process Automation Engineer
- The individual is expected to be fully qualified and proficient in the application of chemical process control fundamentals.
- He/she should be able to design and implement process control and process safety strategies for both continuous and batch processes, which entails programming of control applications on various distributed control systems
- There would need to write process simulation applications in order to verify the functionality of the control program and for training plant operators.
- It would be required to participate in plant commissioning and start-up activities, including tuning of control loops.
- It would be mandatory to follow aggressive project improvement goals, and plan, track and drive the implementation team to achieve those goals.
- The individual is also expected to provide technical expertise as a part of related global networks. The individual must be able to work with minimal supervision and be self-directed.
- Strong foundation and skills in all aspects of Chemical Process Control
- In depth knowledge and hands-on experience on commercial distributed control systems from ABB, Honeywell, Yokogawa, Foxboro, Triconex, Siemens, and Rockwell in order to implement process automation and process safety applications
- Production / Operations experience would be an advantage.
- Commissioning and plant start-up experience is preferred, but not required.
- APC experience will be required if the hiring is for plant improvement projects. (Special case)
- Knowledge of global process automation and process safety standards, (ISA-S95, S88 and IEC 61511)
- Domestic and international travel may be required.
- Must be willing to work on projects at different geographies/locations role.
- Fluency in written and oral communication in English.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification (optional)
