Job Description :

- Utilize engineering education and experience to engage in systems engineering and the development of vehicle component and systems designs that meet customer requirements, studio styling criteria and manufacturing requirements

- Lead and support development, validation, deployment and continuous improvement of process and engineering design tools

- Actively collaborate with Business, IT, Engineering and Software Vendors to develop and deliver optimal solutions to operational and deployment issues.

- Instruct commodity/program engineers in process usage and maintain process integrity in execution

- Applies engineering principles and expertise during project development and in support of other refinery departments as needed

- Performs engineering activities in all project phases including feasibility/economic studies, conceptual design, identification and evaluation of alternatives, front-end design, detail engineering, construction and startup/commissioning

- Works extended hours, including nights and weekends, in process operations environment and during periods of inclement weather

- Develop/Prepare Process Designs for both proposals and new projects, to ensure accuracy, competitiveness and compliance with design standards, specifications, relevant codes and EHS requirements in the region

- Develop winning bid strategies and design concepts with Commercial Engineering and Sales team

- Provide expert advice / recommendations on various treatability / optimized design options for new projects

- Interact with the Project Manager, Sales, and the customers in technical meetings and present design offerings

- Provide the input required (including supporting calculations) to prepare project related documents such as but not limited to, equipment/pump sizing, mass balance, PFD's, and P&ID's

- Assist in the timely preparation of Process description and control descriptions

- Assist with the process/trouble shooting sections of Operation and Maintenance manuals

- Finalization of Technical package for Engineering after the project is awarded

- Participate in technical peer risk review within the design review team for projects, to ensure design optimization / value engineering

- Coordinate Pilot test plans and review/approve operating changes

- Review proposals prepared by Pilot Project Manager

- Working with a team of experts, drive product quality and reliability issues to root cause and corrective action using a disciplined, data-driven approach

- Draft appropriate technical documentation including engineering bulletins/fact sheets

- Responsible for performing other work assignments as required by the supervisor
