Process Engineer - Metallurgy/Iron ore (6-12 yrs)
- To determine suitable blend ratios based on the availability of raw materials, equipment and customer specifications and advise production dept to implement accordingly.
- To advise suitable process parameters to be adopted to meet the required quality specifications and target production.
- To monitor process conditions in different sections of the plant through routine checks and advise production dept for corrective measures should there be deviations from the target parameters.
- To organize manual temp/ flow/pressure measurement and check accuracy of weigh feeders and belt weighers to alleviate the effect of equipment/instruments malfunction on pellet quality & production level.
- To evaluate process conditions and equipment performance from the process point of view to improve product Quality and productivity.
- To identify bottlenecks in different sections of the plant in meeting the target production and product quality suggest modifications/ corrective measures to alleviate such bottlenecks.
- To plan and organize plant test to assess suitability of new raw materials/ additives/ binders etc with a view to optimize the cost of operation.
- To arrange for spot sampling and or tests in different sections as needed depending on the type of problems to identify and evaluate accordingly.
- To have close co-ordination with Production/QC/Maintenance Departments to discuss process related issues to ensure plant operation within targets.
- The employee is to be aware of the general requirements of quality and environment management systems as per ISO 9001:2008 and 14001:2004 respectively and comply with the same.
