About the role

Under occasional supervision, is responsible for coordinating his activities in the Operations Department. These activities include process enhancements or developments, establishing testing criteria, supporting product development activities, establishing recipes, monitoring quality results versus specifications, and developing or inspecting new raw materials.

Responsibilities :

- Manages projects of significant technical importance to the corporation.

- Recommends designs and coordinates modifications to equipment/process to meet customer needs.

- Advises production personnel and logistics on ways to maximize productivity and minimize scrap.

- Provides technical assistance and direction to shift production personnel and other engineers.

- Ensures that line operating procedures are provided and updated as required.

- Interacts with other departments and advises them on new processes.

- Leads investigation of all quality complaints and ensures all corrective actions are completed and effective.

- Assists in the analysis of productivity derived from materials and machines.

- Performs statistical analyses to verify compliance to process capabilities and product specifications.

- Must have thorough knowledge of production of non-woven materials, related technologies and markets in which they are used.

- Use recycles materials to improve raw material yield as well reduce scrape utilization

- Trains all team members as required on aspects of the process.

- Monitors the process daily and analyse the data for process improvements

- Makes recommendations for and orders appropriate testing equipment.

- Ensures recipe sheets are written and maintained for accurate setup on all production codes and on all production lines.

- Makes recommendations for new raw materials based on market needs and performance improvements

- Prepare safe SOP,WI and training documents for operation and train the new joinees of the organization.

Expected out of the Candidate : 

- Bachelors Degree in Textile Technology/ Textile Chemistry/ Chemical engineering/Polymer Engineering .

Experience - 6 - 12 years

- 2 - 4 years of manufacturing experience in production and Process Department with Spun melt non-woven materials or any equivalent combination of Must have thorough knowledge of production of non-woven materials, related technologies and markets in which they are used.

- Must exercise discretion and judgment by applying skills and knowledge to different factual situations develop options and solutions and/or create new Have good knowledge in SAP and ERP system.

- Must have good knowledge of cost structure and controls.

- Must be able to operate in a team environment, remaining flexible to multiple demands.

- Excellent communication and people skills are necessary along with detail orientation especially while performing statistical analysis.

MUST HAVES:

- Bachelors Degree in Textile Technology/ Textile Chemistry/ Chemical engineering/Polymer Engineering .

Total Experience - 6 - 12 years

- Min-2 - 4 years of manufacturing experience in the production and Process Department with Spun melt non-woven materials or any equivalent combination.

- Good knowledge in SAP and ERP system
