1. Purpose : This job ticket defines the tasks and responsibilities for the Process Simulation Specialist.

2. General:

As a Process simulation expert your role will be very crucial in validating process models, optimizing schemes, and ensuring continuous development in process Technology.

Job Role Summary : As a Process Simulation Expert, you will be responsible for conducting advanced process simulations, utilizing industry-leading software and tools to optimize our production processes, and implementing innovative strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance. Your expertise will be vital in troubleshooting issues, analyzing data, and providing valuable insights to various departments within the company.

3. Responsibilities : 

a) Conduct detailed process simulations using state-of-the-art software to model and analyze various production processes.

b) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand process requirements and gather data for simulations.

c) Identify process bottlenecks and inefficiencies and propose effective solutions for process improvement.

d) Analyze simulation results, interpret data, and present findings to key stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

e) Work closely with engineering teams to validate simulations against real-world data and refine models accordingly.

f) Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in process simulation tools, techniques, and industry best practices.

g) Provide technical guidance to colleagues and assist in the training and development of team members.

h) Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new methodologies and tools.

i) Collaborate with external partners, vendors, or consultants when necessary to tackle complex challenges.

j) Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout the simulation process.

k) Keep up to date with new developments, process softwares, procedures and implement it to the day to day work.

l) Mentor and develop junior staff

m) Works in compliance with all safety rules and regulations.

n) Participate, provide inputs, review where needed for development of Process design package which includes Process engineering documents like below :

a. Process Design basis

b. Process flow Diagrams, Material selection diagrams, P&I Diagrams

c. Heat & Mass Balance, Utility balances

d. Line list and Equipment list

e. Process data sheets for equipment, Instruments

f. Narratives like Control Philosophy

g. Cause & Effect charts

4. Minimum Qualification required

a. BE or B.Tech in Chemical Engineering

b. 6+ Years experience in Basic Engineering activities focused on process simulations

c. Certification from Simulation Agencies like Aspen

d. Proven experience in Process Simulation softwares (e.g. Aspen Plus, Aspen Hysys, Simsci, Promax)

e. Dynamic Simulation skills will have preferences
