Process Simulation Technologist - Mechanical/Chemical (1-8 yrs)
JOB ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Use First Principle Modeling, data visualization, statistical analysis, pattern recognition, and machine learning - along with domain knowledge and subject-specific models - to solve science, engineering, and commercial problems;
- Assist the formulation of new projects or enhancements of existing models
- Contribute to all stages of data analytics or decision modeling development, deployment, and support
- Database/historian development, data extraction/transformation/loading, data filtering and quality control, programming with an emphasis on scripting languages
- Build simulation models using proprietary and vendor tools to model business problems.
- Analyse simulation results and develop technical reports and presentations
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors/ Master's degree from a recognized university in one of the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, with significant experience in computational ; minimum GPA 7.5 and above
- Able to practice chemical engineering
- Strong interest and a demonstrated experience in providing solutions to complex technical problems applying rigorous scientific approaches
- Be comfortable being hands on and take a deep dive into novel technical areas when required, to achieve broader objectives
- Professional work experience in data analytics: Minimum one year applied computational work experience
- Experience in Python, MATLAB, or R is required
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in a collaborative environment is required
- Knowledge of numerical methods for linear algebra and optimization is an advantage
- Experience in technical software development is an advantage
- Experience working in Linux and in a High Performance Computing environment is an advantage
- Previous work experience in the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage
