Procurement Head - Sourcing (6-10 yrs)
Position Name : Procurement Head
Reporting To : Head of Finance and Head of Operations
Repotees : Manager/Executive
Job brief :
- Procurement Head responsibilities include strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers.
- Responsible for and plans, organizes and manages the procurement process for all projects.
- Ensures that the procurement process is in adherence to company requirements, company policies and procedures to ensure successful delivery of project requirements.
Responsibilities :
1. Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies
2. Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
3. Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
4 .Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
5. Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
6. Examine and test existing contracts
7. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
8. Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
9. Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
10. Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
11. Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
12. Control spend andbuild a culture oflong-term saving on procurement costs
Requirements :
- Proven working experience as a procurement manager, procurement officer or head of procurement
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in reading the market
- Talent in negotiations and networking
- Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration
