Procurement Manager/Assistant Manager (6-20 yrs)
Essential duties and responsibilities of position :
- Prepare and analyze bids and quotations in terms of cost, quality, source, and urgency.
- Develop, negotiate, and administer lower value SOW and commercial contracts.
- Have experience in working with Master Service Agreements.
- Support the analysis of different suppliers, including price and total cost analysis.
- Assist with various sourcing events (e.g.: RFI, Quotes, Contract renegotiations, scope of work development, etc.)
- Conduct Total Cost of Ownership analysis
- Identify and propose cost reduction and performance improvement opportunities.
- Support the Executive Summary for the team by consolidating and reporting various KPIs.
- Analyze and compare potential and current suppliers; evaluate and recommend new or on-going relationships; manage some smaller commodity items
- Develop supplier service levels and analyze supplier performance data.
- Work with suppliers on cost improvements and continuous process
- Support the management and maintenance of supplier relationships
- Obtain deep industry, supplier, and internal client knowledge for assigned procurement categories along with the ability to cross train other analysts.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members to deliver significant results
The Opportunity: The ideal candidate will have:
Required :
- Total experience 6 to 20 years,5 to 9 + years of Capital Expenditure and/or MRO strategic sourcing and category management experience
- Some experience with OG&C related projects (upstream/midstream/downstream)
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Procurement. B.Tech preferabaly
Mandatory :
- Experience working with engineering teams, aligning technical requirements with commercial terms and conditions and leading the strategic sourcing process including TCO analysis, negotiations and contract execution
- Experience working with a major consulting firm, or EPC/EPCM firm and/or OG&C(oil and gas) firm leading sourcing initiatives for Capital Equipment and/or Services.
- Ability to interface with customers and suppliers via strong written and verbal communications skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Excel) and presentation software (i.e. Microsoft PowerPoint)
