Procurement Managers develop a protocol that outlines how companies purchase goods and services. They mastermind company policies relating to procurement to ensure that purchasing is managed consistently throughout the organization, making it easier to stay on budget and receive budget approval. They usually report to the CFO or COO and sometimes oversee a small team of agents who each work to develop procurement policies for specific areas.

- Develop, hone and execute new improved procurement strategies across all channels of purchasing

- Evaluate and enhance our operations in local spend while researching and prospecting developments in global spend

- Delegate tasks and supervise the work of purchasing and procurement agents across all departments

- Manage every aspect of the supply chain and notify the senior management team of any possible obstacles to ideal efficiency

- Institute policies and procedures for collecting and reporting key metrics that will reduce our overall expenses while increasing productivity

- Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks

- Coordinate deliveries

- Proven working experience as a procurement manager, procurement officer or head of procurement

- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in - reading- the market

- Talent in negotiations and networking

- Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software

- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers

- Experience in collecting and analyzing data

- Strong leadership capabilities

- Create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation

- Understand spares requirement by model and pricing compared to competition and local market options

- Responsible for pricing and availability of spares for marine engines and scooters

- Assess demand and create proper forecast/plan to ensure on-time availability of material

- Evaluate Inventory maintained and parts service ratio for effective procurement of spare parts resulting in proper availability of spares

- Source low cost alternative spares within India

- Track pricing and schemes floated by competitors and plan for aggressive sales and spares bundling strategies accordingly

- Prepare pricing proposals and field sales inquiries

- Prepare competitive market feedback for OEM penetration 5 Days a week (9:30 AM to 6:00 PM)
