We are looking for Product Definition Engineer with 3 to 10 Years of Experience in Hydro Domain for our esteemed client for Bangalore location.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Product definition engineering support for Hydro turbine and generator components.

- Support includes both 3D and 2D creation / update following the customer and ISO standards

- Validate General Arrangements, Part & Assembly Drawings, Interface drawings, casting/Forging/Machining drawings and knowledge in manufacturing process.

- Validate the fittings (standard parts library) as per the ISO and ASME standards

- Providing good design approach and specifications to fabrication detail, component, piping & its fittings, material selection and modifications

- Daily interaction with customer/team for task status updates and resolving queries/issues

- Identify delivery/quality issues in advance to avoid any impact to projects and analyze root cause in case of any issue. Experience in providing solution to address the repeated critical errors.

- Identify and understand the areas of improvements based on the feedback provided by customer. Work closely with customer to implement improvement opportunities.

- Conduct team's internal quality checks to ensure defect free deliverables

- Able to identify and focus on the most critical high impact issues/risks & mitigation plans

- Take quality feedback and suggestions from client and communicate the same to team.

- Builds positive working and collaborative working relations with teams

- Effectively and efficiently manages processes, projects, and systems

Requirements

- Strong background in Hydro/ ST/GT domain turbine and generator, Pump, Auxiliary Piping system is preferred

- Hands-on experience on CAD like NX (preferred), AutoCAD (preferred), CATIA, Creo, Solid works etc, and PLM platform like Enovia, Teamcenter to create ECO,ECR, PART, BOM, Specification & Manufacturing drawing release

- Knowledge on Hydro turbine design/Power generation domain will be an advantage

- Excellent Knowledge Validate the drawing skills and dimensioning standard

- Good Knowledge of ISO standards and Manufacturing drawing creation in compliance with ASME Y 14.5 with GD&T

- Good knowledge on selection of Hardware, Pipe and fittings, Tube and fittings

- Good understanding of AWS standards (welding)

- Good Knowledge on other module (like..NX Piping, Sheetmetal)

- Good Knowledge on manufacturing processes

- Knowledge of material properties, heat treatment and surface coating
