Technical Skills & Knowledge Required

- Proficiency in AutoCAD & Solid Works, Siemens PLM.

- Knowledge of design, manufacturing, testing & working of AGV, AMR, ATTACHMENTS & DOCKING STATIONS & CONVEYORS.

- Knowledge of Manufacturing process, sheet metal, 2D drawings, GD&T, Assembly and Material Science.

- Knowledge of CE certification, Ergonomics, and Machine Safety.

- Experience in designing mobile equipment for industrial use, Material Handling Equipment, Special Purpose Machines, Robots, Commercial Vehicles, Cars

- Hands-on experience in machine (AGV/AMR) design & throughput calculations.

- Exposure to layouts, installation, commissioning, and project execution.

Responsibilities

1 The incumbent will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and introducing new products, as well as improving and modifying existing ones (including AGVs, AMRs, attachments, docking stations, and conveyors) for various projects based on business requirements as part of the R&D mechanical team.

2 The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing & validating detailed design documents & layouts, manufacturing designs, and detailed BOM.

3 The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring suitable material selection as per business requirements and technical considerations.

4 The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing & validating detailed mechanical designs for project layout & product including 2D & 3D modeling, surfacing, detailed engineering, and conducting simulations.

5 The incumbent will be responsible for working with cross-functional teams to take feedback on the working of the product & project execution and plan for improvement.

6 The incumbent will be responsible for managing multiple R&D projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope.

7 The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring proper certifications for all products & projects as and when required.

8 The incumbent will be responsible for leading and mentoring the mechanical design team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

9 The incumbent will be responsible for driving innovation in mechanical design through the application of new technologies, materials, and processes.

10 The incumbent will be responsible for identifying and implementing best practices for design and development.

11 The incumbent will be responsible to prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and presentations.

12 Occasional travel may be required for project meetings, site visits, and industry conferences. Experience & Qualification Requirements

B. Tech/MTech/M.S. or equivalent with 13+ years of experience in creating product designs, generating specifications (including detailed BOM), and creating equipment-related requisitions for manufacturing in PLM.

A minimum of 05 years of hands-on experience in design, manufacturing, testing & working of AGV, AMR, ATTACHMENTS & DOCKING STATIONS & CONVEYORS.
