Product Design Engineer - Mechancial/Hyrdraulic Products (10-14 yrs)
Primary responsibilities:
- Design subsystems and components by reasoning from first principles and applying fundamental concepts of mechanics, hydraulics and materials engineering
- DFMEA, Preparation of Design & Product Testing and Validation Plans
- Confirms system and product capabilities through design verification and testing
- Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
- Participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications and designs
- Create CAD models, including part and assembly drawings, Bill of Materials (BOMs) to support manufacturing, testing and assembly
- Ensures design files and information are kept up to date, and stored in accordance with departmental procedures
- Provides technical and engineering support for day-to-day activities related to product development and process improvements
- Responsible for carrying out design change requests in a timely manner
- Works with fellow engineers to develop alternatives and options for further development of projects and products
- Works closely with quality, supply chain, process engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure flawless implementation of new products
Key Result areas:
- Design Releases - on Time; Quality - meet Functional / Durability requirements, Defect free; to Cost Target
- Documentation Accuracy and Completeness time New Product / Design Change Implementations
Desired Experience:
- Around 10 years experience in Design & Development of Mechancial / Hyrdraulic products. Basic design experience required
