Production Engineer (5-10 yrs)
SkillSet: CNC, VMC line, Press Shop, Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills. The role of a Production In charge is to manage the production performance, personnel issues and the Health, Safety &Environment; (HSE) standards of press shop.
The main task of the role are to:
- Lead the Quality Cost & Delivery (QCD) Performance : Responsible for Quality, Cost, Delievery initiatives: set targets, implement plans, track daily results (i.e. breakdown, absenteeism, power failure etc), make appropriate adjustments in resource planning & Optimization(i.e. manpower, raw material, wip & finish good) in order to attain desired results.
Avoid rejection also responsible to update production related data in ERP System. Drive actions for improvement: communicate with the Shift Supervisors of shifts, and support functions (i.e. Maintenance, Purchase, Quality, HR & Die Maintenance) to ensure a transparent information flow, collaborate to define improvement areas and precise action plans. In deapth knowledge about welding line, CNC/VMC line, Press Shop.
Manage team performance: know team problems, define areas for performance improvements with team members, drive teamwork, lead problem solving groups, lead workshops on quality improvement methods (5S, TPM, 7 QC tools).
Manage the personnel issues of the assigned team: Ensure daily team management: assure appropriate headcount, ensure the respect of standardised work methods, assure presence on the floor to answer questions or address problems.
Develop the team: ensure proper staffing, integrate new team members, foster individual development plans, advise and arrange for appropriate training, assure punctual job evaluations, etc. Ensure that working conditions are fully compliant with Health Safety Environment standards: interfere in production line in case of safety risks and drive improvement of working conditions and ergonomics.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have/be:
Diploma/Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Minimum of Five to Ten (5 to 10) years automotive experience
- Strong analytical and proven team oriented problem solving-skills required.
- In-depth knowledge of quality engineering techniques In-depth knowledge of Metrology Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills Results and teamwork orientation Bilingual (English required)
