Qualification : BE Production/Metallurgy

Experience :

- Minimum 12 years of which at least 5 years in middle management position.

- Non ferrous Metal industry experience a must.

- Operation of Electric Arc furnace.

Department : Production

Job Purpose :

- Management of the ASC Production Unit comprising of Electric Arc furnace, Refining Unit and Ta Separation Unit with given technology and consistently ensure quality production output as per set targets.

Key Accountabilities And Work Outputs : 

- To lead the ASC Unit for consistent quality production and volume as per set targets.

- To prepare Annual and monthly production schedules in conjunction with Client team with Raw material details.

- To plan and ensure availability of consistent feed mix to furnace by coordinating with the Raw material suppliers (Our Client s)

- To plan and ensure availability of consumables local as well as import.

- To plan and secure material stock for uninterrupted production including mechanical/electrical /instrumentation and safety.

- To lay down safe working procedures, impart training and guidance employees for quality production output.

- To improvise on the operational as well as safe working procedures.

- To optimise operating parameters and provide the set parameters to juniors for effective operations.

- To prepare monthly production reports and submit to senior authorities.

- Monthly production reports to include production cost, improvements, Equipment health, and breakdown details.

- Will be responsible for sorting manpower issues in liaison with HR /Admin.

- Will be responsible for equipment health monitoring and keeping records of the same.

- Will submit annual Production report as well as Budget for upcoming years.

- Shutdown planning / coordination and smooth restart of operations.

Key Performance Indicators :

- Consistent operation maintaining good equipment health.

- To achieve highest Product quality and target production

- To prevent material loss at every stage of operation.

- To control environmental aspect for entire Unit and maintain clean work environment.

- Cost reduction. Provide cost effective suggestions to reduce production cost.

Key Strengths Required for the position :

- Hot metal Unit management

- Manpower management.

- Knowledge of condition monitoring of equipments.

- Knowledge of emergency procedures in hot metal industry.

- IT skills for report generation and presentations.

Person Specific Requirements :

- Physically capable to adapt tough production environments

- Ability to learn local languages

- Ability to manage expat manpower and get effective work output.

- Ability to manage and coordinate various departments at a time

Training & Development Requirements :

- Will be decided based on candidates skills and experience
