Key Performance Area:

- Oversees the Manufacturing Engineering Department within a plant.

- Ensures engineering projects are completed within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.

- Provides hiring, promotion and disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports.

- Reviews and evaluates department processes and procedures for continuous improvement.

- Responsible for Process Engineering, Project Engineering, Continuous Improvement, and/or Maintenance.

- Evaluation, and makes final determination on (with input from plant manager) the process recommendations of engineers to ensure they are accurate and consistent with the organization's short-term production plans.

- Leads the most complex, large, or difficult process engineering projects and develops innovative approaches to production problems.

- Estimation of cost, time and resources required for repair projects; prepares work orders and monitors the progress of work against estimates.

- Monitors industry trends and developments in engineering technology and makes recommendations on equipment/systems investments.

- Leads and directs manufacturing engineering department.

- Responsible for achieving department goals and objectives, and development of employees.

- Strong Knowledge of Motor manufacturing adhering to efficiency regulation/ norms.

- Good Technical Knowledge & ability to upgrade on Modern Techniques related to Manufacturing & Quality activities.

- Well versed with Windows Operating system (Computer friendly)

- Knowledge in Production Planning and control.
