Production Manager - Manufacturing Operations (6-15 yrs)
Manufacturing :
- Preparation of the Production Plan as per the Sales Orders received.
- Delegate responsibilities as per production plan.
- Guide the engineers to carry out the job (assembly) smoothly as per the plan.
- Continuous coordination with the Stores department for the continuous flow of the material for as to avoid breakdown.
- Oversee the in-house production, Review of the actual production against the production plan.
- Continuous review of the process so as to reduce the manufacturing cost and wastages.
- Ensure quality check after the job is done
- Responsible to decrease the rejection rate.
- Responsible for increasing the productivity with maximum utilization of resources.
- Responsible for deliveries within the budgeted cost by keeping control on the manpower cost.
- Ensure cleanliness in maintained on the shop Floor.
- To communicate/liaison with external authorities, suppliers & service providers, customers.
- Remove bottle necks, and reduce down times, and wastages.
SAFETY :
- To ensure safety measurements & use of safety accessories in work place to avoid accidents.
- Continuous training on the Fire Fighting, First Aid
DOCUMENTATION :
- QMS documentation and implementation for production department (as per ISO9001:2008 standard norms).
- To communicate/liaison with external authorities, suppliers & service providers, customers.
SYSTEM ADHERENCE & DEVELOPMENT :
- Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned departments for daily activities, problem solving and cost reduction, both on a permanent and ad-hoc basis, depending on need.
- Implement accurate documentation processes.
- Monitor the documentation process followed in the team.
- Adopt best practices in manufacturing.
- Keep abreast of industry developments, new technologies/machineries, new production techniques for the production team, commercial off-the-shelf equipment, and planned future developments.
- Continuous review of the Kaizen system so as an effective utilization of the same.
TEAM MANAGEMENT :
- Performance review of the Team-
- Overseeing and Effectively Monitoring the team
- Training & Development of team, Continuous technical training for the team.
- Goal setting for the team
MIS ( MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM )
- Send all the prescribed reports.
- Ensure all the reports to be sent are done as per the report matrix.
