Production Manager - Plastic/Chemical Industry (8-17 yrs)
Production Manager
Job Description / Responsibilities :
- Should have thorough knowledge of plastic processing or similar industry.
- Should have exposure to ISO / OSHA'S / WCM / Lean Manufacturing.
- Should be well versed with computer and SAP-B1 or similar ERP.
- Should have worked on PLC controlled semi-automatic machines.
- Plan and execute the production as per monthly plan and daily plan with optimum utilization of resources.
- Monitoring & Coordination with Planning, Quality Assurance, and Dispatch department to confirm the delivery of targets as per schedule
- Meeting the delivery commitments/schedules of internal and external customers
- Effective Implementation of production plan
- Ensuring quality requirements are met at all stages of manufacturing
- Reviewing the production requirements and systems constantly to minimize idle time, anticipate and solve problems in a timely manner and to identify opportunities for improvement
- Assist Production Manager in planning, managing and executing production operations
- Coordinate and plan production priorities, workflow and schedule
- Identify and report operational and maintenance problems to prevent production delays
- Schedule routine inspection and maintenance of production equipment to prevent equipment breakdowns and malfunctioning
- Develop or update standard operating procedures and best practices for production operations
- Ensure that all equipment, materials and supplies are readily and continuously available to carry out production processes, ensuring machine maintenance is done on timely basis
- Address employee concerns and complaints in professional manner/ training employees where required
- Optimize production operations to meet quality and performance standards.
- Assist in documenting all work instructions and procedures.
- Ensure safety measures are procedures are followed to reduce unexpected incidents and hazards
- Ensure production process is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Determine resource requirements and work allocation for production operation
- Analyse overall budget and implement cost-optimization initiatives
- Manpower planning, monitoring manpower absenteeism, responsible for skills development on regular basis for blue-collar
- Responsible for Kaizen, 5S for the production department
- Responsible for Inventory in Production Dept and to ensure proper recording of production, valuation and physical stock vis--vis books stock
- Responsible for productivity, optimum material utilization, rejection /rework
Candidate Profile :
- Male
Age : around 30 to 35 years
Experience : 8 to 10 years
1. Proven experience in Production
2. Excellent knowledge of Production, Quality standards & Operations
3. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
4. Excellent communication abilities
5. People Management
Qualification : Graduate Engineer : preferred Textile, Polymer, Chemical or Mechanical
CTC :
- 8 to 12 lacs per annum (Negotiable) (CTC including Bonus etc.)
- Relevant Industry
- Textile Coating & Lamination, PVC / Plastic Processing, Paper Coating
