Program Manager - Vehicle Integration for an Engineering Services Outsourcing & Product Development

About the client :

Our client is a large Engineering Services Outsourcing and Product Development IT services company offering services in engineering and design, product lifecycle management, manufacturing, product development, and IT service management to automotive and aerospace original equipment manufacturers and their suppliers

Key Responsibilities :

- Participate in & guide the team for feasibility studies, product development phases like DFMEA, DFSS, PFMEA & Control Plan, APQP, Engineering Changes, and Technical Review

- Function as Engineering Head with Approval Authority for all Engineering Output - be responsible for the Quality & Accuracy of the deliverables

- Function as Administrative Head for the Team - represent in Management Meetings, inter-departmental coordination, manage the administrative activities of the team & communicate to the PMO office

- Team Performance Management - Performance Appraisals, Competency and skill development

- Identification of resource requirements (Skills, Systems, Software, Hardware, & provision of adequate resources to ensure smooth team functioning

- Ensure that resource utilization is maintained in line with organization targets

- Drive operational efficiency leading to higher profitability

- Ensure employee engagement is kept at a high level and maintain attrition control and retention of critical employees

- Promote engineering service off-shoring with the customer to enable scale and profitability.

- Ensuring service levels are in accordance with the agreed SLA's (Workload balancing, Quality, On Time Delivery etc.)

- Managing the business / customer relationship

- Interaction with customer engineering team for growing business opportunities in the commercial vehicles engagement

Desired Profile :

- Masters degree (preferred) from a reputed university or institute in the field of Mechanical engineering with 15+ years of industry experience, preferably in global ESO sector

- Prior experience in managing large teams and engagement in core automotive sector

- Prior experience in off-shoring including development of business model with thrust on both top line and profitability
