Project Engineer (5-6 yrs)

Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Execution:

- Develop comprehensive project plans encompassing Smart Meters and IoT deployments, outlining objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.

- Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and government Discom officers to ensure alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements.

- Monitor project progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement strategies to overcome challenges and deliver projects on time and within budget.

2. Smart Meter and IoT Deployment:

- Oversee the deployment of Smart Metering infrastructure and IoT devices in field locations, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and regulatory standards.

- Collaborate with installation teams and technicians to facilitate smooth implementation, addressing any technical issues or obstacles encountered during deployment.

- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess project status, identify areas for improvement, and ensure adherence to quality standards.

3. Engagement with Government Discom Officers:

- Serve as the primary liaison between Asakta Electronics and government Discom officers, establishing and maintaining positive relationships to facilitate project approvals and compliance.

- Provide regular updates and reports to Discom officers on project progress, milestones achieved, and any deviations from planned objectives.

- Address any concerns or inquiries raised by Discom officers promptly and effectively, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

4. Field Operations Management:

- Manage field operations related to Smart Metering and IoT deployments, including logistics, installation, maintenance, and support activities.

- Ensure the safety and efficiency of field operations, implementing appropriate protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Provide leadership and guidance to field teams, fostering a culture of teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.

5. Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:

- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and engineering teams, to align project objectives with business goals and market requirements.

- Facilitate regular communication and collaboration between project teams and external stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding of project priorities and expectations.

- Proactively address any conflicts or challenges that may arise during project execution, leveraging strong interpersonal skills and negotiation techniques to achieve consensus and drive results.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.

- Proven experience of 5-6 plus years in project management, preferably in the tech or IoT industry, focusing on field operations and government engagements.

- Proven entrepreneurial or managerial skills in the IT sector or related field.

- In-depth knowledge of IoT solutions, and energy sector regulations.

- Strong understanding of government processes and requirements, particularly in the context of Discom operations and regulatory compliance.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and people management skills.

- Proficiency in project management tools and software.

- Ability to travel to field locations and engage with government officials as required.
