Project Engineer - FEA (1-3 yrs)
- Lead and support FEA projects using ANSYS / ANSYS-Workbench as per customer requirements.
- Interface with customer and take care of regular project communications with customer.
- Obtain all required inputs for assessing the components and sub-systems for stress, deformation, vibration, durability and thermal performance. Carry out Input review.
- Understand and comprehend requirements, understand operating environment of the component and systems.
- Carry out linear and non-linear Stress analysis, Thermal analysis and Dynamic analysis (Modal and forced response)
- Define and document scope and approach with appropriate loads and boundary conditions and define appropriate acceptance criteria.
- Carry out analytical calculations using first principles / engineering fundamentals, perform sanity checks on analysis results, create MS-excel based calculators if required.
- Interpret analysis results and provide appropriate design recommendations considering manufacturing, assembly and cost aspects.
- Resolve analysis related issues / convergence issues.
- Prepare clear and concise technical documentation and reports.
Requirements
Experience required : 2 to 4 Years
Educational Qualification : BE/ BTech. / ME / MTech in Mechanical / Production / Aerospace Engineering or Equivalent
- Sound experience in various types of FEA: Linear, Non-linear, Dynamic (Modal / Harmonic / PSD), Thermal (Steady state / Transient)
- Good skillsets in FEA tools (ANSYS and ANSYS-Workbench preferred, Exposure to APDL will be advantage). Strong understanding of FE theory.
- Good understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) theory and practices
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals (Stress, Vibration, Fatigue, Plasticity, Heat Transfer, Machine Design). Exposure to DFSS tools
- Good verbal and written communication skills, Good Team Player.
- Awareness of manufacturing processes such as fabrication, casting, forging, and machining
- Good skills in MS-office tools. Ability to create reports and documentation.
