Project Engineering

Responsibilities:

- Develop project plans for design and development activities. Set up process to Monitor and Control the cost and timelines.

- Drive the overall process implementation in the design cycle with optimal improvements for process maturity as per AS9100D requirements.

- Manage internal and external stakeholders, support vendor qualification and management.

- Enable designers through design and validation phases optimally to achieve final certification per DGCA requirements.

- Propose, Plan engineering team budgets and manage and control engineering office expenditure on capital and operations

- Set up and control communication within the engineering function and also with external and internal stakeholders. Conduct Management and Design reviews. Set up a cadence for reviews and metric reporting at various levels.

- Conflict resolution within teams and external suppliers and partners.

- Ownership of the departmental processes and final product delivery.

- Create and monitor charter for product improvements and overall business value.

Skills:

- Strong PM foundation of the knowledge area and process groups with related experience in full fledged product development.

- Drive and Improve the engineering process to for all engineering quality and certification of the products

- People management and excellent communication skills with focus on conflict resolution.

- Ability to continuously improve work group and mature process, people and products.

- Coordination within project teams, functions and external stakeholders

- Manage and control escalations and conflict resolution leading to higher customer satisfaction.

- Monitor and Control Risks and capable to drive major project decisions with positive outcomes.

Education/Certifications:

- B Tech / M Tech in Mechanical, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering or Aerospace.

- MBA or PMI certification with relevance to complex product development is an add on.

- Any organizational process certification such DFSS/CI/ACE etc.
