Project Head (Chemical Industry)
- Manage and delivering the Project including conceptual, basic engineering, detailed design, engineering, procurement, fabrication, and execution on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific project ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.
- Defining projects scope, finalizing deliverables and timelines, planning on business readiness and communication strategy, and identifying suitable vendors/contractors for respective engineering discipline.
- Managing projects through all phases of the project life cycle, i.e., requirements, alternative analysis, engineering, design, fabrication, testing, and implementation planning with the help of the team reporting into you.
- Planning for receipt of machinery and equipment to deliver.
- Concurrent execution across multiple locations, Resourcing for project planning and execution.
- Delivering commissioned plant which is ready for operations and obtaining formal acceptance of final deliverables and preparing project dossier- all relevant documents, leanings etc for future reference and Performance monitoring of assets.
Qualification And Experience:
1. BE in Chemical with 15+ years of overall experience in executing chemical manufacturing projects (Greenfield & Brownfield) & must have experience of managing end to end project lifecycle
2. You should have high focus on safety, legal, compliance requirement to ensure that company and external Health and Safety and building regulations are adhered to throughout the project duration.
3. You should have high commercial and engineering acumen to control costs, to set budgets and to manage delivery of work to required standards
4. Demonstrated competence in project management.
5. Track record of success leading diverse teams to deliver large & complex projects.
6. Ability to interpret and evaluate information to effectively influence at the executive level critically and objectively.
7. Skills in problem resolution, negotiation, dealing with ambiguity, the establishment of effective processes, influencing without authority.
8. Works well with third parties: can organize and galvanize a disparate group of people, keeping cadence in the program high.
9. Expert at generating and maintaining trust with internal and external stakeholders.
10. Demonstrated ability to work under minimum supervision; exhibit leadership skills to coordinate personnel and projects on various levels.
11. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
