Project Manager (10-20 yrs)
Job Description: Responsible for coordination of project plans, contractual arrangements, schedules, activities, and milestones in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved. Reviews bill of materials/project schedules/forecasts for accuracy. Supervises project personnel through subordinate leaders.
Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise:
- Ensures methodologies, processes, tools and systems are used throughout the project and compliance requirements are met/satisfied.
- Applies knowledge of all aspects of a project (engineering, coordination, construction & quality control, etc.) to oversee the successful execution of the project plan for FPSO/Offshore/LNG.
- Ensures design team is aware and complying with customer Basis of Design and applicable codes and regulations.
- Demonstrates attention to detail of FPSO/Offshore/LNG.
- Demonstrated understanding of EPC (FPSO/Offshore/LNG) project delivery workflow and coordination.
- Basic exposure and understanding of procurement/subcontracting and on-site construction support.
- Execution Planning & Performance
- Translates FPSO/Offshore/LNG contract requirements for project scope into scope of services and deliverables.
- Ensures project schedules and resource plans are developed and utilized in managing the project tasks.
- Manages execution, coordination, and implements regular reviews/controls to track project progress.
- Develops action plans to address project tasks and issues.
- Good understanding of Project Control Reports and identified problem areas.
- Experienced in successful multi-office workshare execution.
- Promotes Value Creation and Sustainable Solutions objectives for project.
- Communication & Networking
- Effectively communicates and take a leadership role in preparing and presenting proposals and reports to staff and management.
- Clearly communicates project requirements, deliverables and expectations with the project team.
- As technical customer interface, pro-actively addresses technical coordination issues for FPSO/Offshore/LNG.
- Creates an environment for open communication and collaboration.
- Keeps all stakeholders informed of project status.
- Resolves issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Identifies and understands the customer's key drivers (KPIs)
- Manages customer representatives (established relationship) and other significant stakeholders.
- Manages and nurtures customer and stakeholder relationship based on established expectations and communication protocols. Nurtures relationships with external vendors and suppliers, communicating key project drivers. Develops a relationship of trust and respect with ability to discuss project progress, challenges and issues in a transparent manner.
Risk & Opportunity Management:
- Identifies potential risks or new risks as the project progresses and effectively develops risk mitigation, contingency and resolution plans.
- Follows risk management procedures.
- Keeps detailed project risk register that stays current and is tracked & communicated on a regular basis (at least monthly).
- Utilizes Risk Register items as the basis for any project contingency budget.
What you will bring:
- Technical and Industry Experience
- Essential Experience: 17+ years' experience including 10 years of relevant supervisory, project management and/or technical experience. Workshare experience and EPC project experience (FPSO/Offshore/LNG).
- Desirable Experience: EPCM, EPC, FPSO/Offshore/LNG including site assignments.
