Hiring for Leading Paint COmpany for the post of Project Manager

BANGLADESH

Desired candidate profile for the position :

1. Qualification

And Previous Work Experience

B.E. / B.Tech in Civil / Mech / Electrical Engineering with Minimum 12 - 15 years of relevant experience in managing

Green Field / Brown Field Projects in a Paints / Process Industry.

Fluency in Bangla (written and spoken) is an essential requirement

2. Key Deliverables of this role

A] Project planning and Design

1) To participate actively in the process of Project conceptualization and preparation of the Project Design basis for green field Paints plant.

2) Interacting with the authorities, Govt. agencies and Industry experts to get fairly accurate knowledge about various requirements, standards, local practices and procedures.

B] Project ownership : Leading project team to common goal

1) Overall responsibility for delivering the project with desired quality, in stipulated time and within the approved Budget.

2) Participating in evaluation of local Consultants and other service providers, interacting with the shortlisted agencies for review of the Engineering Drawings and Designs.

3) To lead evaluation of contractors and techno-commercial negotiations, with the support from ESF team.

4) To organize periodic reviews, identify critical activities and initiate suitable corrective steps for timely expediting.

5) To report the progress status periodically and to flag major issues if any to the Project Owner.

C] Site Management and Construction Safety

1) To establish project office and various control systems at site, Take complete charge of site activities including contractors mobilization, insurance, permits etc.

2) Dovetailing of various activities (Civil/Mech/Elect)

3) To seek timely approvals for the variations and tracking the impact on cost and time through DCNs.

4) Ensuring complete adherence to Safety systems and procedures during project execution

D] Quality and Cost monitoring

1) Review of initial budget (prepared by consultants) and report discrepancies if any

2) Ensuring complete adherence to work specifications and quality of workmanship

3) Close monitoring and reporting of actual cost vis--vis budget and analyze variances

E] Value adding Inputs

1) To evaluate alternate options without compromising quality or functionality (resulting in cost/time saving)

F] Handover procedure and project closure

1) To ensure that As-Built drgs and documents are in place and handover these to the operations team

2) To ensure timely capitalization and various other project closure activities with the help of plant team.

4. Must have functional competencies

1) Good planning and analytical skills

2) Conversant with Project management software

3) Hands-on with ERP and procurement procedures

4) Good at documentation and reporting

5. Critical personality attributes 1) Good Leadership qualities and Interpersonal Skills

2) Customer Orientation.

3) Should be able to work with the team

Salary:INR 18,00,000 - 33,00,000 P.A.
