Project Manager - Manufacturing Domain (8-12 yrs)

Job Purpose :

- Based on resource capacities, the Planning Manager oversees the planning, implementation and tracking of deliverables. 


- Ensure the parties and departments involved honor the Company's objective of On time deliveries.

Required Exposure in :

- 8-12 Years of experience in manufacturing domain, of which at least 05 years experience in Project controlling is mandatory. 


- Access capabilities and reach of different departments including Production, Purchase, Sales and Marketing. 


- Have good exposure to working with different sub-contractors and sub-contracting formalities as well.

Qualifications: Education: Valid degree from a certified college (Preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

- Should have good exposure to production cycle especially in manufacturing domain.

- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.

- Should possess exceptional Verbal, Written, Listening and Presentation skills.

Roles of a Project Manager:

Capacity Planning:

- Estimate the time lines for a project based on vendors and manpower capacities.

- Accordingly advise vendor development and purchase department on building new vendor base / capacities

- Validate the work plan and milestones set by Projects that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.

- Define the scope of the Project in collaboration with customer and internal management

- Develop Maintain different project planning documents as per the Organization Quality Management System.

Resource Management:

- In consultation with the appropriate manager, recruit, interview and select staff with appropriate skills for the project activities

Coordinate with multiple departments and vendors to ensure timely delivery:

- Chase internal departments to ensure adherence to timelines

- Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the project.

- Review the project schedule with management, Customer and necessary staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required.

- Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion

Detailed Responsibilities of a Project Manager:

Implement the Project:

- Ensure the Company's objective of On-time Delivery is met at all times

- Ensure the project is executed as per the project plan and different technical work plans.

- Ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured as per the organization Quality Management System.

- Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project and report the same to different stakeholders ( Internal and Customer)

- Establish and follow communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organisation on the progress of the project.

- Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets project standards.

- Control the Project and ensure the project deliverables are on time, with in the budget and at the required level quality.

- Track daily issues and risks. Come out with solutions/ get resolution to issues internally and with customer support. This involves coordinating with internal teams, Front office team and customer team

- Monitor the Project Management dashboard with all projects data.

Adhere to Compliances :

- Raise alarms on procedures and adherence non - compliance.

- Manage project staff according to the establish policies and practices of the organisation

Customer Focus :

- Collaborate with customer while developing scope of the project

- Review the project schedules with customers

- Keep the customer informed on progress of the projects via reports at regular intervals.

Reporting Structure: Reports to Director Operations

Interacts with: HODs (internal), Vendors and Customers
