Project Manager - Water/Sewage (3-10 yrs)
JD For Project Manager:
Responsibilities :
Project Planning :
- Develop detailed project plans for water and sewer line projects, including scope, objectives, timelines, and budgetary considerations.
- Conduct thorough feasibility studies and risk assessments specific to water and sewer infrastructure.
Technical Expertise :
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of water and sewer engineering principles, including design, construction, and maintenance.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and emerging technologies related to water and sewer systems.
Team Leadership :
- Lead and inspire a cross-functional project team, including engineers, environmental specialists, and contractors.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members to achieve project goals.
Stakeholder Management :
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and other project stakeholders.
- Communicate project progress, address concerns, and ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations.
Budget and Cost Management :
- Develop and manage project budgets, with a focus on the unique financial considerations of water and sewer projects.
- Monitor costs closely and implement strategies to control expenses and prevent overruns.
Quality Assurance :
- Implement and enforce quality control measures specific to water and sewer infrastructure.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Schedule Optimization :
- Develop and maintain project schedules, considering critical activities related to water and sewer construction.
- Implement scheduling strategies to optimize efficiency and meet project deadlines.
- Billing Engineering :
- Apply Billing Engineering principles to ensure accurate project cost estimation, invoicing, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with finance teams to streamline billing processes and resolve any financial discrepancies.
Regulatory Compliance :
- Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, codes, and environmental standards governing water and sewer projects.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals and manage compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications :
- Must have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, with a focus on water and sewer infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of water and sewer engineering principles, regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
