QA/QC Engineer (3-8 yrs)
Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance:
Develop and implement QA procedures and protocols specific to mechanical construction activities.
Review project specifications, drawings, and documents to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of mechanical installations and equipment to identify deviations or deficiencies.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Monitor and document quality metrics and performance indicators to track project quality throughout the construction process.
Provide technical guidance and support to ensure proper execution of quality control procedures.
Quality Control:
Establish and maintain quality control procedures for material testing, welding, fabrication, and installation processes.
Conduct inspections and tests on mechanical components, assemblies, and systems to verify compliance with project requirements.
Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) as necessary to assess the integrity and quality of welds, piping, and structural components.
Review and approve quality documentation, including inspection reports, test certificates, and material traceability records.
Monitor subcontractors and suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and contractual requirements.
Investigate incidents of non-conformance and collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of quality-related activities, including inspection reports, test results, and compliance documentation.
Prepare and submit quality reports to project management and clients as required.
Document lessons learned and best practices for future reference and continuous improvement initiatives.
Participate in project meetings and reviews to communicate quality-related issues, status updates, and recommendations.
