Job Title QA/QC Manager - Civil MEP & Infra

Purpose of the job

Responsible for overall ownership, management and administration of the Quality department and associated activities governing quality management standards and systems, across all Civil, MEP & Infrastructure projects and locations. Responsible for developing a quality-conscious culture within the Civil, MEP & Infrastructure business and being the true face of its Quality philosophy. Accountable to ensure productivity targets, financial objectives & KPIs are achieved and that all Quality processes are running smoothly and promptly.

Key Responsibilities & Activities:

1. Responsible for the development and execution of all Quality Assurance & Quality Control plans for all projects and business units within the Civil, MEP & Infrastructure divisions and in line with organizational strategy, international standards (ISO etc), statutory requirements

2. Responsible for all internal and external quality audit programs, remedial actions and non-conformity management, ensuring seamless documentation and knowledge sharing through Intelex and other management information systems

3. Responsible for deployment of resources & processes for investigations in cases of violation of quality standards and ensuring that gaps are resolved through appropriate corrective actions

4. Responsible for specific departmental financial objectives by preparing the annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, initiating corrective actions

5. Participating and providing positive contributions to technical, commercial, planning, safety and quality performance of the organization and by Client, Contractual, and regulatory requirements

6. Visiting Sites & Project locations to discuss operational aspects & issues on training and effectiveness

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in the field of engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical preferred)

- Master's degree in the field of engineering (preferred)

Professional Certifications

- Business Management (preferred)

- Certification as a lead auditor with specialisation in Quality Management Systems, Six Sigma, ISO, Total Quality Management or equivalent quality certification (preferred)

Skills:

- A proven work experience as a Civil, MEP & Infrastructure - Manager QAQC

- Familiarity with the latest quality-oriented trends in the industry. Knowledge of best practices

- Strong writing and record-keeping abilities. Strong IT skills. Strong communication, planning & organizing skills

- Exceptional leadership skills. Ability to lead and transform the Quality department. Ability to garner Management support and confidence.
