Quality Head - Electronics Manufacturing Firm (15-25 yrs)
- We are seeking an experienced Quality Head to lead quality assurance efforts and ensure the highest standards of quality in the manufacturing operations.
Job Description :
- As the Quality Head, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the quality assurance processes in organization, particularly in the areas of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and EMS assembly. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving product quality, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and implementing quality control measures.
Key Responsibilities :
Quality Management : Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality management system that covers all aspects of SMT and assembly processes.
Quality Assurance : Lead and manage the quality assurance team, ensuring that quality control measures are consistently applied throughout the production process.
Compliance : Ensure compliance with industry standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, IPC-A-610, RoHS) related to electronics manufacturing.
Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and increase efficiency.
Supplier Quality : Collaborate with suppliers to establish and maintain stringent quality standards for raw materials and components.
Customer Satisfaction : Work closely with customers to understand their quality expectations and proactively address any quality-related concerns or issues.
Training and Development : Develop and implement training programs for employees to enhance their understanding of quality standards and best practices.
Root Cause Analysis : Lead investigations into quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; additional certifications in quality management are a plus.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in quality management within an EMS organization, with a focus on SMT and assembly processes.
- Strong understanding of industry-specific quality standards and regulations.
- Proven experience in managing and leading quality assurance teams.
- Knowledge of quality control tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, Statistical Process Control).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
