Qualification : BE / B. Tech (Metallurgy/Metallurgical Engineering)

Experience : 7-8 years in QA & Technical department.

Designation : Manager / Sr. Manager.

- To assess feasibility of manufacturing for all new enquiries (metallurgical related requirement)

- To guide the production department for appropriate melting & welding practices.

- To analyze customer complaints and provide corrective action plan

- To support material department in selection of proper raw material

- To ensure compliance to quality standards in all processes.

- To draw out Quality Assurance Plans

- To coordinate with external inspection agencies for inspection and clearance of specific orders

- To draw the plan for conducting the internal audits and Management review meeting at the decided intervals

- To monitor changes in the processes and issue necessary amendments in the manuals in consultation with process owner

KEY ACTIVITIES :

New Grade Development and Modification in existing grade to meet customer requirement

- Study required chemical and mechanical requirement

- Study of effect of alloying elements

- Planning of Process steps to be followed

- Follow up each step as per plan while taking trial

- Witness of all testing

- Transfer to production lot with same parameter

Feasibility on new and critical enquiries :

- Study the enquiry in detail and comparison and also study with related standards

- Customer complaint and customer rejection reduction

- Understand the customer complaint

- Reviewing Production log sheet and inspection for particular serial number casting, to be verified whether any observation or deviations are mentioned

- Root cause analysis to be done based on observation or deviation

- Based on Root cause analysis corrective and preventive action to be planned

- Conducting Training and Awareness on all Metallurgical processes to labours & employees working respective areas

- Planning the training season with HR and Process owner

- Conducting the Training based on plan

- Evaluate the knowledge after training

- Decide further training is needed for improving efficiency of the process for particular person

- Liasoning with TPI agencies

- To facilitate the external inspection

- To obtain final despatch clearance from the TPI in certain cases

- Coordination for training on Implementation of Quality and Environment Management system
