Ravel Electronics - Techno Commercial Engineer - Electronic Components (4-9 yrs)
- As Project Buyer of Advanced project team, Leads sourcing process from Prepare Cost Estimation& CAA preparation, RFQ, Identify& Negotiate the GAP on Suppliers Quote by Technical Analysis& VAVE Negotiation Activities.
- Co-ordinates S-VRF definition and plan Supplier Design reviews to ensure Supplier full understanding, capture improvement proposals, obtain Supplier acceptance of Valeo Requirements, enhances competition at equivalent scope.
- Participation on Project Milestone Meetings (Project Kick Off, Sourcing Plan, Technical Steering Committee, Project Management Committee) and Supports Project Manager in Preparation of Sourcing Plan to define Cross functional team commitments and conditions to proceed with Pre-SoCo (RFQ), SoCo (Award) and SOP at required QCD conditions.
- Bench-marking Different Lamps and Tear down analysis with cost estimation for parts& Sub components.
- Learnt different lighting Design topologies, Knowledge on Car Lightings with Bulb/LED Based lamps
- Costing & Sourcing knowledge on Electronics component level including all Passive& Active components, LEDs, ICs, Microcontrollers, PCB and PCB Assembling Process and Proto PCBA.
- Basic Knowledge on Schematic Design& PCB layout considerations, Scope Analysis for technical Productivity.
- Directing project team on Cost target based Design & key role on Product Design to cost reviews to improve Product Cost Vs Performance level.
- Involves Group Segment Director in appropriate timing to share project constraints and propose sourcing strategy compliant with Group Segment Strategy, Leverages commodity organization to reach pre-sourcing, sourcing decisions and meet project targets.
- Managing project milestones related to suppliers and follows progress of PQA stages. Defines and controls communication flows and contents between project teams and suppliers. Ensures all necessary documentation (Project & Supplier) is properly stored in PuMa
- Assess pre-selected suppliers risk impacts on the project related to Development or Production capacity, Technical or Quality capability, financial sustainability. Proposes with Project team & Commodity organization mitigation plan and ensures it properly recorded in PuMa Pre-SoCo & SoCo pages.
- Critical Parts identification and review contingency plan with related PTM& PM (anticipated design Reviews, S-VRF, Possible specification changes)
- Install competition between suppliers bringing at least two suppliers at the same technical level and proceeds with all negotiations to ensure successful RFQ and/or auction process.
- Ensures timely sign off with the segments of all supplier contracts related to project (from development contracts to mass production) suppliers & Managing all contractual aspects to protect Valeo intellectual property and segment panel.
- Pilot and forecast the project purchasing index, Soco metrics, project milestones& unqualified initial samples.
- Proposes and validate with commodity organization pre-sourcing target Suppliers& Integrating New Suppliers into Supplier panel& Projects to optimize QCDI costs and Ensures Segment Strategy compliance along the Sourcing Process in all Business awards.
