Reckitt Benckiser - Production Manager (10-15 yrs)
Designation: Production Manager
Reporting to : Site Head
Educational Qualification : B. Tech, MBA
Skill Set Required : Financial process understanding, Analytical skills, Negotiating skills, Strong Organization skills
Experience : FMCG experience would be preferred, Team Handling experience
A Production Manager is responsible for the planning and coordination of all production activities to ensure that the company production targets are met. The production manager will be responsible for the entire production plant, or a part of it, depending on the size of the production facility. A production manager's main responsibilities are to ensure the efficient production of goods and services and are of right quantity, quality, and cost.
Key Responsibilities :
The main responsibility of a production manager is to ensure that the entire production process runs smoothly and cost effective. For this he has the following key responsibilities:
- Analyzing the work resources
- Keeping track of the production capacity and allocation of machinery
- Monitoring of production cost and take initiative to reduce costs
- Monitoring of production timescales
- Preparation of efficient production schedules
- Advise on purchasing of production machinery
- Monitor the production quality standards
- Coordination between the production plant and other departments
- Keep up with the latest production technologies
- Responsible for day to day upkeep and maintenance of plant equipment's with some understanding and expertise in packing machines & automations
- Familiar with SAP production planning process
Key Challenges :
- Ensure the implementation of health and safety strategies.
- Liaising with different departments such as Procurement, Engineering, HR and Quality to ensure as per plan delivery.
- Handling a complex manufacturing line with respect to cost of goods produced and number of SKUs
