Regional Marine Superintendent (1-7 yrs)
Job Description :
Our client is one of the leading global shipping providers of marine transportation service to both upstream and downstream clients in APAC region.
- You must inspect and audits 3rd party tankers and barges employed by company to ensure continuous compliance and suitability for current support and operations.
- Ability to provide ad-hoc guidance on a variety of marine operational and technical issues ranging from remediation of tanker operational problems to developing policy and guidelines related to safe operations and marine risk management ensure ships are maintained in safe and seaworthy conditions by complying with rules & regulations, codes and guidelines.
- To be successful in this role, you must have been a Chief Engineer on board with a Class 1 Motor Certified, preferable on oil tankers and /or LNG vessels will be ideal.
- Report directly Regional Marine Lead, you should be seagoing experience with familiarity on oil tanker marine standards and regulations.
- Strong communicator to work closely with Commercial team on potential term charter vessel opportunities providing recommendations on operational, vessel-specific technical/equipment suitability and compatibility with existing marine facility/supply chain requirements.
- You must be willing to represent company in marine/tanker forums to influence development of new or revised rules and regulations.
- Minimum 10 years of sailing experience with at least 2-3 years as a Chief Engineer on-board will be preferred. The role requires regular communication with Mandarin speaking clients based in the region.
