Reliability Engineer - Mechanical/Electrical (4-10 yrs)
Responsibilities:
- Candidate is responsible to carry out Reliability analysis activities like Life Data Analysis, Reliability Block Diagrams, Reliability Theoretical Calculation and FTA.
- Evaluate field performance of allocated products by analyzing field data. Investigate and evaluate product field problems and nonconforming product.
- Develop and Improve data collection tools, methods and processes for generating failure rates and other product performance data.
- Establish and update WTG spare parts strategies with main focus on critical component
- Generates & maintains the failure directory to facilitate DFMEA, PFMEA (Process Failure Mode & Effect Analysis).
- Provide reliability predictions (e.g. MTBF) for systems, subsystems, and components.
- Advise and contribute for Maintenance strategy in support of the requirements established by the site and relevant Integrity and Reliability Standards.
- Participates in all phases of the new product designs phases.
- Prepare, review and approve the reliability performance and qualification of components and reports for assigned projects. Provide well-written reports and supporting documentation.
- Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult challenges. Work independently to determine and develop solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organizational objectives.
- Follow all Quality System Practices as defined by customer's practices, policies and Standard Operating Procedures to ensure that IEC, ISO and European Wind Turbine standards and regulations are met where applicable.
Qualifications & Functional Competencies :
- M.Tech/ B.Tech in Mechanical/Reliability/Electrical Engineering
- 4-10 Years of Experience in Post production Reliability analysis and DFR process.
- Certified from American Society for Quality (ASQ) in Reliability Engineering or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of Reliability Techniques, Field failure Analysis and Design for Reliability & Life Data and Test Data Analysis using Weibull / ALTA.
- Proficient in reliability analysis software's like Reliasoft (Weibul, ALTA, Blocksim) and Various Reliability techniques.
- Good understanding about application of various statistical tools in data analysis and Problem solving.
- Six sigma Green belt Certified.
- Good understanding on Mechanical and Electrical failure modes, Failure Types and problem solving.
- Knowledge on Matlab, Excel Macros, SQL Database & Scripts creation is must.
- Exposure to Wind Turbine/Heavy Machinery Industry domains is advantage.
