Remote Sensing Specialist - Geographic Information Systems (10-25 yrs)
As a GIS / Remote Sensing Specialist, you will leverage Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing technologies to analyze spatial data and support decision-making for various projects. Your role will involve managing, interpreting, and visualizing geographic data to provide actionable insights and enhance project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and analyze GIS databases and remote sensing data to support project planning and decision-making.
- Perform spatial analysis and modeling to solve complex problems and provide strategic recommendations.
- Create detailed maps, charts, and visualizations to communicate data insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Integrate and process remote sensing imagery from satellites and aerial sources to extract valuable information.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure GIS and remote sensing data are accurately incorporated into project workflows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geospatial Science, Remote Sensing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and remote sensing tools.
- Proven work experience used GIS for at least 4 past projects
