Job Title - GM - Bodyshop

Responsible for operations, profitability and expansion plans of the bodyshop of our dealerships.
Functions :
- Planning, leading, organizing and controlling operations in the bodyshop and parts department.
- Manage the bodyshop business to maintain an active inventory that is within the financial guidelines as laid down.
- Champion the Customer Satisfaction service standards and attain dealership objectives.
- Contribute to dealership profitability.
- Ensure smooth functioning of service and bodyshop operations.
- To generate check sheets for each inspection area and generate periodic inspection reports.
- Plan and conduct in house training for staff skill enhancement as per their weak areas.
- Ensure lodgment of all claims on account of Warranty - Free Service etc. with manufacturers / others on due date, follow up payments and ensure claims lodged and not rejected.
- Ensure respective service processes are in operation 100% of the time to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction.
Increase profitability by ensuring :
- Proper store accounting
- Inventory management
- Reduce consumption of sundry consumables
- Energy conservation.
- Device proper credit policy for bodyshop repaired job and ensure speedy recovery.
- Increase business by constant touch with customers with high level customer satisfaction.
- Lay down targets for each bodyshop personnel - Line Managers etc. with maximum utilization of infrastructure facilities.
- Have a motivated dedicated team for the bodyshop and lay down parameters for the incentives schemes based on efficiency and productivity.
- Device new schemes / methods for increasing the volume of business viz. Quick repairs schemes, Break down repairs, Pick up facilities etc.
- Establish and maintain effective inter organizational (principals), inter departmental and intra departmental communication to establish smooth and effective work
