A Leading Textile Organisation is currently looking to hire for the position of RSJ/DJ Engineering. The candidate in the role will report to Creative Director. The Director is based in Portland and has a strong background in design & development having worked in the innovation department at companies like Nike & Adidas. As part of this position, the company will provide complete technical training on basic warp knitting technology & then on understanding and engineering on the RSJ or DJ machines to the candidate prior to entering the shop floor. For this purpose, the candidate may be asked to spend a certain period in the next year not more than 2 months at a time, in either Germany or Japan to get formal training on these machines. Once on the shopfloor, the candidate will have the following responsibilities:

1. Product development: to program the machine and deliver the right product in the fewest number of iterations based on product designs given by the Director.

2. To shorten the development time of new products from design to delivery

3. To deliver product within the quality parameters set by the company

4. To keep track of and drive the entire product development process for products to be developed on the machine, from warping to processing & garmenting to ensure timely delivery of samples

5. To implement systems and processes to minimize time losses from machine changeover

6. To understand the limitations & capabilities of the machine in full detail, thereby providing inputs in the design process itself

7. To do continuous process improvement activities, increase efficiency, reduce waste, increase production, during commercial production

8. To co-ordinate with other teams such as production planning & procurement so that the machine can be utilized effectively

9. To carry out any other day to day activities with respect to running the machine

Qualities/Skills Required:

1. Experience: - 5 years

2. Educational Background: B.Tech or M.tech in textile technology. Preferable a topper from a second tier institute.

3. Preferably should be coming from a warp knit background

4. Candidate should display an open mind and a hunger to learn

5. Candidate should be passionate about sport

6. Candidate should be willing and able to work in a team

7. Candidate should be able to communicate effectively in English
