Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/ Metallurgy engineering

- Working experience in Corrosion & Inspection of department of Chemical/ Petrochemicals/ Refinery/ Fertilizer industry

Job Accountabilities/ Key Words:

- Conduct Welder qualification test and evaluation of welders' performance as per ASME Sec IX

- Interpret and evaluate the results of Non-Destructive Testing like Liquid Penetrant Test, Radiography, and Thickness survey.

- Witnessing Hydrostatic and Pneumatic test inspection.

- Ensure compliance to procedures and best practices.

- Provide services to plant mechanical maintenance.

- Prepare regular MIS and reporting documents.

- Ensure maintenance of tools/tackles during S/D as per SMP

- Applicable HSE compliances at site

Technical Competencies:

- Preferred Knowledge in International codes like ASME Sec V, Sec IX, API 510, API 570, API 571, API 576, and API 577, other relevant codes like ASTM, TEMA, IBR, AWS, and BS etc.

- Should have extensive knowledge of P&ID, piping layout & isometrics, field fabrication & Inspection of piping

- Should have ASNT Level II certification in UT, RT, PT, MPT, and VT.

- Should have thorough experience of piping inspection, preparation of inspection reports, evaluation of inspection findings and recommending suitable corrective actions for pressure vessels, pipelines, piping etc.

- Should be well conversant with stage inspection of fabrication and welding job like WPS, PQR, dimension measurement, weld fit-up, DP test of root run, final run and interpretation of radiographs.

- Should have a thorough understanding of various degradation mechanisms/corrosion and insulation/coating systems in the Petrochemical Industry.

- Knowledge about work certification and report preparation using MS office post execution of work

- Safety aspects associated with Inspection jobs
