Senior BIM Engineer (MEP)

Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior BIM Engineer (MEP) to join our team. As a Senior BIM Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the Building Information Modeling (BIM) process for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in construction projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of BIM methodologies and deliver high-quality MEP models.

Roles and Responsibilities :

1.BIM Project Coordination :

- Lead the implementation of BIM processes and standards for MEP systems in construction projects.

- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and MEP engineers to determine BIM project requirements and deliverables.

- Develop and manage the BIM execution plan and BIM project workflows.

- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of BIM models, drawings, clash detection reports, and other related documentation.

2.MEP Modeling and Coordination :

- Develop 3D MEP models using BIM software (such as Revit) based on project specifications, design documents, and engineering calculations.

- Perform clash detection and coordination checks to identify and resolve conflicts between MEP systems and other building elements.

- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to resolve coordination issues and optimize system integration.

- Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date MEP libraries, families, templates, and standards.

3.Technical Support and Training :

- Provide technical support and guidance to project team members regarding BIM tools, processes, and methodologies.

- Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance the BIM competency of team members and stakeholders.

- Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies, industry standards, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Quality Control and Documentation :

- Conduct regular quality control checks on BIM models, drawings, and deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

- Prepare comprehensive BIM documentation, including model development specifications, clash detection reports, and coordination meeting minutes.

- Collaborate with the project team to identify and implement lessons learned and best practices for future projects.

Qualifications and Skills :

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.

- 3 to 4 years of relevant experience as a BIM Engineer, preferably with a focus on MEP systems.

- Proficient in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and other related tools.

- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, design principles, and construction processes.

- Experience in clash detection, coordination, and resolution of MEP systems.

- Familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and local building codes.

- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead multidisciplinary coordination efforts.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
