Senior BIM Engineer - Structural (10-12 yrs)
Requirements summary:
- Bachelor's in Civil or Structural Engineering from a top-rated university
- 10 years of experience
- Deep Autodesk Revit Structure expertise
- Building construction projects experience (e.g. offices, residential, hospitals- )
- Previous team supervision experience
Construction engineering knowledge required:
- Building construction methods
- Building materials including reinforced concrete, concrete prefab and semi-prefab elements and steel
- Assembly of concrete and steel structures
- Experience in reading and interpreting building structural drawings (concrete and steel) and ability to easily visualize the construction work
- Knowledge of drawing conventions, symbols and abbreviations commonly used in Europe (Continent and UK)
Software knowledge required:
- Deep knowledge of Revit including the associated database
- Deep knowledge of Navisworks
- Deep knowledge of Solibri model checker
- Knowledge of Excel as an interfacing tool of Revit database
- Knowledge of Tekla is a plus (not mandatory)
Languages required:
- Fluent in English
- Easy to understand
Responsibilities: BIM project execution
- Analyse and comply with Client's BIM protocol and execution plan
- Experienced in building clash free structure models as per the principles of - Virtual Building-
- Import and export IFC models
- Assemble models created by different design teams and locate flaws and exceptions in architectural and structural designs
- Analyse and group clashes per severity. Find and report relevant problems easily. Investigate the quality of the produced BIM files
- Create and verify bill of quantities per construction phase
- Phase and simulate building construction works (4D)
- Review and quality control the work done by junior/medior structural engineers before releasing to our European team
