Senior Buyer (5-10 yrs)

- Proactively manage assigned commodity portfolio to reach company goals and benefit the supply chain.

- Promote a collaborative approach with peers, colleagues, and senior management to ensure project success.

- Identify and follow through Break through Activities to completion.

- Embrace Modularity as way forward for Product Development.

- Evaluate the capabilities of proposed new suppliers in conjunction with key business stakeholders in the internal Supply Chain (local, regional, global) with the responsibility for approving or rejecting for use.

- Initiate agreements for key commodities including compilation of the scope, evaluating submissions, negotiating favorable costs and award the qualified suppliers.

- Undertake supplier visits, compiling visit reports upon completion, and developing process improvements to the internal supply chain, including better utilization of supplier systems.

- Regularly benchmark the existing supply base and challenge the competitiveness of existing suppliers.

Educational requirements :

- Bachelor of Engineering background (Electrical) is preferred not necessary.

- 5 to 10 years- experience in Strategic Sourcing/Purchasing/Procurement.

- Able to read a technical drawing with tolerances & specifications

- Experience in sourcing of Motors, Control Panels, Drives, Alternator, CI Casting, Coolers etc.is preferred.

- Knowledge in supply chain processes and manufacturing is a plus.

- Use of IT tools like ERP, MS-Office, Power-Bi etc.

- Fluency in English is a must.
