Senior Design Engineer - Mechanical (6-10 yrs)
Position : Sr. Design Engineer

Based in : Bangalore, Full Time
Responsible for : Mechanical Product Design Req- d
Education : BE / M-Tech in Mechanical Engineering Req- d
Experience : 6 to 8 years of relevant experience
Required Skills:
- Mechanical product design of components, sub-systems level
- Hands on experience in design calculations, DFMEA - Excellent understanding of materials, processes and finishing operations
- Excellent understanding of GD & T and Tolerance stack up
- Exposure to manufacturing environment - Experience in product performance/reliability/prototyping and testing
- A deep understanding of Plastics, Sheet metal design and its Processing is a must-
- Self disciplined and tasks handling skills
- Ability to plan, co-ordinate and execute tasks/projects with focus on quality of deliverables and the schedule/ timelines
- Proficiency in Pro-E Wildfire is a must
- Knowledge of NPD or change management process is must
Desired skills
- Experience in the context of overall product design either in the consumer goods or food/beverage industry is highly desirable
- Exposure in design simulation like CFD, thermal calculation is added advantage.
- Desirable to have user level experience in Windchill, CREO,Pro-v or equivalent software
- Passion and diligence for hands-on engineering
- Exposure to process tools like Six Sigma, APQP, etc.
- Knowledge of DFSS will be an added advantage
- Chinese/mandarin language skills would be an advantage
- Knowledge on heat transfer and refrigeration systems would be an added advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft software tools.
- Exposure in machine building/assembly process would be an added advantage. - External supplier interaction would be an added advantage.
Soft skills:
- Good business communication (written/verbal)
- Exposure/experience to working in a global engineering team environment
- Team player, flexibility in adapting to quickly changing business & task/project priorities
- Ability & willingness to travel locally, nationally or internationally when required
- Problem solving approach and priority management.
