What you will do:

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Electrical Engineer with expertise in power systems, rectifiers, and high-power electronics to support the design, specification, and implementation of rectifier solutions for megawatt-scale electrolyser systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in power electronics, electrical system design, and large-scale industrial projects related to renewable energy or hydrogen production.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Design and specify rectifier systems for MW-scale water electrolysis plants, ensuring compliance with project technical requirements.

- Perform load flow analysis, harmonic analysis, and power factor correction calculations to ensure efficient and stable system operation.

- Evaluate and select power electronic components, including thyristors, diodes, IGBTs, and associated control systems.

- Develop and review electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring schematics, and layout drawings for rectifier integration.

- Ensure compatibility between rectifier output characteristics and electrolysis stack requirements, including voltage-current performance.

- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary product development team to deliver optimized solutions.

- Ensure rectifier design adheres to industry standards and regulations (IEEE, IEC, etc.), with a focus on safety, reliability, and efficiency.

- Provide troubleshooting and technical support for operational rectifier systems and recommend performance improvements.

- Prepare technical specifications, proposals, and cost estimates for rectifier systems.

- Manage vendor selection and review technical documentation for rectifier and transformer systems, as well as other electrical systems.

Must Have:

- 5+ years of experience in power electronics, rectifier systems, or large-scale electrical systems for industrial applications.

- Proficiency in rectifier design and operation for high-current DC systems.

- Strong knowledge of high-power electronics, including thyristor-controlled rectifiers, IGBT-based systems, and related technologies.

- Familiarity with water electrolysis technology and its electrical requirements is a significant advantage.

- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex technical challenges.

Should Have :

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team environment.

- Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance for high-voltage, high-current DC systems.

Good to Have :

- Experience in renewable energy or hydrogen production projects.

- Familiarity with energy storage systems and dynamic load control.
