We are looking for technology game changers to lead fundamental transformation within the automotive industry. Technology is going to disrupt the automotive industry significantly in the next decade and our organization is seeking high potential candidates to transform the company with a focus on the customer experience.

The main job responsibilities will be:

- Responsible for electronic design of Core hardware platform, and edge ECUs

- Support the design, development, and analysis of hardware schematics, Bill of Materials and layouts of target hardware

- Collaborate in a Scaled Agile product delivery team, comprised of cross-functional company peers to continuously prioritize, refine, and deploy component

- Understand Domain team requirements, project milestones, technology relevance

- Prepares of engineering and release related reports for project review

- Utilize engineering disciplines, including Electrical Engineering Process Management, DFSS, DFMEA, DFM/DFA, and WCA to develop robust design solutions

- Ensures hardware prototypes are validated and available for key pre-production vehicle build milestones

- Ensure designs are manufacturable, component readiness, support future design direction, etc.

- Lead and facilitate resolution of component issues during the development

- Conduct HW/SW design reviews on target ECUs

- Work closely with core hardware design engineers and cross-functional teams to execute and validate complex components.

Basic Qualifications : 

- Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent program

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in electronic hardware development

- Experience in EE architecture topologies, software architecture, safety MCU/MPU, SoCs

- Strong teamwork, and excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently.

- Extensive hands-on experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, and signal generators.

- Familiar with Automotive industry standards for electronics, design factors of safety, and product verification is desired

Preferred Qualifications : 

- Knowledge of applicable safety standards including ISO 26262, Euro NCAP, and other regulations, industry benchmarks and customer requirements

- Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Belt certification

- Solid understanding of system/component design

- Familiar with vehicle bus: ETH/CAN FD/LIN/LVDS communication protocols and troubleshooting tools

- Experience in root cause and DFSS techniques (is-is not, 5-why, DMAIC, 8D, 5-penny, fishbone/fault-tree analysis)

- Experience using Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer) or similar Critical Character Traits to Ensure Success

- Ability to think outside-the-box in high pressure situations

- Ability to multi-task

- Detail oriented problem-solver

- Self-confident/empowered to deliver on a daily basis

- Self-starter with the ability to work independently given minimal supervision/direction

- Ability to identify potential developmental roadblocks and escalate to management

- Ability to work in a team environment and be both a team player and task leader

- This includes requesting assistance from and likewise providing assistance to team members regardless of the topic is related to your assigned work set

- Respect and understanding of the Customer/Supplier relationship while embracing partnership

- Ability to present concepts/strategies/project status to large groups
