Candidate must have the knowledge and proficiency in working with CREO software, Sheet metal from HVAC industry is a must

2. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To design the parts or assembly using the designing software like Creo in compliance with requirement of the product also try to find the faults in the design and fix them up. Discuss the critical issues regarding the designs with head of the department and reports to him about the development of the assembly or part design. Timely guide the junior team by giving training to them

3. IDEAL PROFILE Educational Qualification : 

Essential: Mechanical Engineer or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Preferred: Graduation in mechanical Engineering with desirable HVAC Manufacturing Experience Work Experience Required (In yrs.)

7-8yrs (M3)

3-4yrs (M2)

Years (Relevant experience): min. 3yrs(M3), 1yr.(M2)

Post Qualification experience:

Other Relevant Direct Skills Creo Sheetmetal, Piping, Cabling, Windchill PDMLink, AutoCAD, ERP, MS Office

4. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities (Indicate Key Deliverables for this position)

- Work on complete design cycle from conceptualization, detailed design, basic simulations, and design calculations, CAD modeling, Prototyping, Verification and Validation

- Making Detail Drawings for part and assembly in AutoCAD or Creo

- Making sketches with dimensions of physical part for 3D modeling

- Understand manufacturing process of part and assembly

- Co-ordinate with shop operators for making part or assembly drawing

- Making Layout drawing, Exploded views, etc

- Making Bill of material in excel

- Leading design visualization efforts with 3D CAD models and essential component and assembly details to explore multiple design options

- Provide guidance to the juniors by giving them training or helping them in various issues

- Verifying product sub-system reliability performance

- Perform reverse engineering by designing a part by measuring it

- Presenting the development of the design and explain the critical issues to higher level executives and customers or vendor (DFM, DFS, DFMEA)

- Plays a important role in developing the manuals, by giving input about the designing constraints and maintenance issue

- Helps in coordinating the vendor and the manufacturing unit up to the pilot lot

- Participation in Cross Functional Team at various level programs

6. KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED (Technical)

TECHNICAL

1. Must be thorough with the designing tools and software like AutoCAD, Creo etc

2. Good knowledge about engineering and machine drawing and also about the different parts used in the products

3. Should have knowledge about Geometrical tolerances

4. Good knowledge about noise and vibration, strength of materials and engineering mechanics

5. Also verse with experimental methods for developing the design and also for testing purpose
