Job Description :

The role includes but is not limited to :

- Conducting and guiding others to perform field noise and vibration measurements

- Outlining a scope of work for new projects and preparing fee proposals

- Conducting environmental noise and vibration assessments autonomously

- Performing computer modelling using SoundPLAN or CadnaA

- Designing effective noise and vibration mitigation measures

- Guiding small teams for larger projects

- Developing working relationships with clients

- Meeting and exceeding client expectations and project milestones

- Writing clear and concise technical project reports on large and small projects

- Providing advice on technical problems and following the appropriate QA/QC Procedures.

Job Requirements :

We are accepting applications from candidates with the following qualifications :

- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Civil, Mechanical, Structural or Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline, preferably with some focus on noise and/or vibration

- Demonstrated experience in environmental noise and vibration engineering

- In depth understanding of noise guidelines, noise modelling techniques, and calculations

- Experience working on international projects in a multidisciplinary design environment

- Track record of developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with clients

- Ability to successfully meet schedules and control costs

- Demonstrated initiative, independent problem-solving methods/capabilities, exceptional coordination and consultation skills

- An ability to work in a fast-paced consulting environment to provide practical solutions with minimal supervision, while multi-tasking to meet deadlines

- Advanced writing skills including experience preparing consultative reports

- Possess or be eligible to obtain registered Chartered Professional Engineer status during your career.

Preference will be given to candidates with the following skills and experience :

- Advanced level Microsoft Excel and Word capabilities

- Advanced level user of CadnaA, SoundPLAN, or Predictor

- Intermediate level user of ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar GIS package.
