PURPOSE OF THE POSITION :

1. Sr. Engineer will be responsible for On Time Material availability and will closely work with PPC for driving the activity with supplier for material availability. 100% dedicated for Tamping Unit Direct Material.

2. Will be also responsible for driving new initiative as continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITY :

1. Follow and Adherence of IMS Process

2. NDA & Supplier Registration Sign Off

3. Ensuring the adherence of Purchase Process as per defined in IMS

4. On Time Material Availability with PR to PO conversion on time and also with PR to Delivery on time.

5. NCR Closure and co-ordination with SQA and supplier's.

6. Working for departmental KPI by ensuring effective implementation of all improvement process

7. Will be responsible for leading the project and ensuring effective implementation as per defined timeline

8. Will be responsible for purchase process compliance

9. Input to Dy Manager for right lead time for parts and getting updated in SAP

10. Coordination with Strategic Sourcing for the parts / supplier where Delivery and Quality becomes concern

11. Effective co-ordination with Vendor Development team for handover of developed parts for regular production

Authorities :

1. New Supplier Recommendation to HOD - MM

2. Price settlement with the supplier and getting approval from HOD - MM

3. Timeline adherence for the projects and parts

Competencies :

- Knowledge on Material Management Process Project Exposure, Leading CFT for common project

- Negotiation Skills Focused on Project Timeline

- Communication Skills Self-Initiative for New Ideas

- Project Management (Scheduling and Planning)

- Exposure on Casting and Machining Parts will be added advantages.

- SAP Knowledge

- Educational Qualification Diploma / Bachelor in Engineering

Certifications Desirable : On Material Management, SAP, Project Managements

Experience : 8 to 10 Years
