Position:- Sr. Engineer- Vendor Development

Location:- Manesar

Exp- 5-8 Years

Role & Responsibility:

- Product / Part development for variety of robotic product range within time & cost targets.

- Meeting target deadlines wrt development, costing, design clearance.

- Project Management: Deal with global/domestic Design Houses.

- New Supplier selection and evaluation (Evaluating on capabilities like Design, Development, Manufacturing, Testing & other commercial/Business attributes, Assessment on QCDM parameters)

- Development support for Concept to Design freeze (R&D/Suppliers) & Manufacturing feasibility).

- Review PCB Bills of Materials, and identify and specify appropriate component manufacturers.

- Negotiate with Design team and suppliers to achieve desired goals.

- Review completed drawings and cost estimates for accuracy and conformity to industry standards and regulations.

- Responsible for Budget cost and making business cases.

- Confer with Design Engineering and Field Application Engineer and other personnel to resolve problems.

- Manage relationship with Supplier, understand their strength and weakness.

JOB PURPOSE:

- Product / Part development within stipulated project milestones & target cost.

Skills And Knowledge required:

- In-depth knowledge of Electronics part manufacturing and development processes.

- In depth Understanding of Electronic Circuits & Electronics (PCB, Chips) Schematic design.

- In depth Understanding of PCB layouts and fabrication and assembly drawings including electronic components, microchips, FPGAs, chip on board and other miniaturized electronic component technologies

- In-depth knowledge about costing Models and norms of electronic parts costing (Especially PCBs).

- Should be a quick learner and must have technology orientation rather than component knowledge.

- Candidate must be well versed with ongoing-market trends and component sources.

- In-depth understanding on complex technologies and process integration.

- Must be versatile and ready to take -up new challenges.

- Must be good in data analysis and versed with category management and spend analysis.

- Vendor development and vendor management skills, Must be good in selling brand and convincing vendors to work on diverse product range with limited volume scope.

- Should have in-depth knowledge of vendor base for different electronics and electrical commodity.

- Must have in-depth understanding of control panels, its manufacturing and functioning.

- Should have fair understanding of electronic system testing procedures and Should have knowledge to troubleshoot problems occurred during the same.

- Must be a street-smart and team player.
