Position: Fire Fighting Systems Engineer

Location: Kolkata, India

Experience: 6-12 years

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

- Design and engineer fire fighting systems for process plants, steel industries, and other heavy industrial applications.

- Perform both basic and detailed engineering of fire fighting systems including water-based, gas-based, foam, or other chemical-based systems.

- Expertise in the design of Fire Hydrants, Medium and High Volume Water Systems (MVWS/HVWS), and sprinkler systems.

- Work closely with vendor companies to manage the complete engineering process, including the generation of detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for project execution.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet all safety standards, codes, and regulations.

- Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of fire safety solutions with attention to technical detail and project requirements.

Education:

Full-time B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

Skills & Competencies :

- Extensive knowledge of fire fighting systems (water-based, gas-based, foam, or chemical).

- Strong experience in the design and implementation of fire hydrants, MVWS, HVWS, and sprinkler systems.

- Proven track record in vendor management and complete detailed engineering processes, including BOQ generation.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to handle complex technical projects.

- Excellent comunication skills and experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
